Dear Friends of Historic Georgetown, Inc.:

We would like to extend an invitation for you to be part of an exciting opportunity to help preserve and elevate a cherished tradition in our European Christmas Market. Originally the market took place in Strousse Park in Historic Georgetown, featuring fifteen (15) booths. The town has always proudly co-sponsored the event. While we are thrilled with the recent renovations to Strousse Park, the number of booths has been reduced from fifteen (15) to twelve (12).

Last year, we had the privilege of accommodating forty (40) artisans, many of whom displayed their products in metal containers that didn’t quite align with the historic charm of Georgetown and were costly to rent. This year, we have a unique, one-time opportunity to purchase ten (10) used kiosks from Olde Town Arvada. These sturdy, attractive structures would not only help lower our annual rental costs but also enhance the ambiance of our outdoor European Christmas Market, set in the heart of our Historic Landmark District.

Our goal is to raise $7,500.00 to make this purchase possible. We are seeking support from businesses, organizations, corporations, and individuals, and all contributions are greatly appreciated. Those who contribute /donate $750.00 or more will be officially recognized for their generosity with their name or business name engraved or affixed to one of the kiosks.

The Georgetown market has garnered nationwide recognition, being ranked among the top ten Christmas Markets in the United States by USA Today. Additionally, in December 2023, we were honored to be featured on The Today Show as one of the Merriest Main Streets in the country.

Our Georgetown European Christmas Market is a vibrant source of community identity and pride. We kindly ask you to join the Town of Georgetown and Historic Georgetown, Inc.in supporting this beloved tradition, which draws countless visitors and guests to our community each year to celebrate this joyful season. Your participation will help continue this magical experience for all.

Cheers,

Nancy S. Hale
